Today I collected the magazines from the printers and they look great. Very exciting to see the final products.

Question Time 2

Question Time

Hello there, long time no see.

Over the next week or so, we will have some of the artists answering questions about how they found the project and where they get their inspiration. This way, you can get to know them a little better.

First up, we have Kathryn Nichols.

Thumbelina

Yesterday I recieve some great illustrations from Kathryn in Cornwall. Based on the story of Thumbelina, we intend to produce postcards to illustrate four major scenes of the story.

Looks like it wont be long yet til theyre ready for print!

Soundscape

I had a meeting with Gavin yesterday to catch up on where our project is at, and it was great.

We talked through the theme of music after recieving a CD by ‘the fields’ and it gave us a place to start. A theme to document on. He waited till dark and got snappy around newport. The photos are finished already and I’m very pleased.

Brave New World

Today me and Simone started building our sets for Brave New World. It was alot of fun…and great to see the difference between the two styles! Check out the update on Flickr.

A Postal Sermon 4

Package 4 has been recieved and our thoughts are starting to collect into something more tangible.

George has sent me the original book split into 11 parts. He has kept six and given me five and we will use these to combine our concluding thoughts.

It’s exciting to see things coming together.

Phew!

Finally finished screenprinting posters for Matt’s project today.

This one’s been going on for a while now and it’s been so nice to complete it.

We are both very proud. Can you smile too much? We’ll see.

Brave New World

I had my fourth meeting with Simone and we’ve discovered a new and exciting direction. After some hard work on Simone’s part and a lot less on mine, we’ve moved on from our original idea.

Having formed a new friendship, we’ve decided to get to know each other a bit better by creating our very own mini world. The world that we live in when our heads are in the skies – where ideas float around and spring into life.

I feel much more excited about where we will go from here than previously. Can’t wait to get going with this on Monday.
